Our latest support for the church was the repair to the Altar Table in the north aisle. This table is used for Holy Communion and had developed a split along the length of the top of it. The repair was undertaken by local firm Woodbase. (Please see photographs above)
Previous major support included regilding the clock on the church tower in 2013, and the replacement of the boiler for the heating system which inconveniently failed over the Christmas period of 2016. For several weeks the church services were held in the Parish Hall because the church was too cold.
Also in 2016 the Friends paid for the replacement of the main doors to the south porch of the church and replacement of several low energy LED lights in the nave of the church which has made it much brighter and hopefully will reduce the electricity bill.
Other recent support was provided by the cleaning of the carpet in the north aisle and Lady Chapel which had got badly soiled with candle wax from the altar candles.
